Birds of Bonaventure

For this project, I am looking to document some of the different species of birds around the school. Some of the tools you could utilize while bird watching and the importance of birds for an environment.

I chose to do this as my project because of an interest that I have had in birds since childhood. My dad is an avid photographer of birds, and it has rubbed off on me in recent years. Another reason is due the lack of documentation in Cattaraugus county. I plan on documenting some of the birds I find around campus and on the Allegany river trail.

Through this project as stated at the start, I plan to look into birdwatching itself and what tools could be utilized to help identify birds. I plan on documenting some of the different species of birds around campus and along the trail. Then research into how birds affect our environment and the importance of their involvement. The outcome is to find a way for future students to carry out this project in the future.
